The swing keel configuration on the P-15 if translated into a P-19 would
intrude even more into the cabin space. Have a look at a SJ-21, you'll get
the idea. Bigger boat <well, just a little> and less usable room inside than
a P-19. Catalina kept their swing keel for the 22 and 25 external to the
hull allowing more interior space at the cost of increased (board up) draft...
