Notice the "Potters At Large, P15 Live Aboard" feature on the IM
website. It has a picture of an alternative rowing setup. The oarlocks are
located considerably aft of the factory install. They are side mounted, aft
even of the sliding genny block thing. The oars appear to be at least 8' in
length. They are kept in place when not in use by simply lashing them to
the side rails. Smart. I wonder if he sits on a board placed just aft of
the bridge deck, and I wonder if steering is adversely affected with the
oars placed so far back...

Also notice that, after all those improvements, he elected to keep the
main block on the bridge deck.
