I did the shakedown cruise for Akala at Lake Casitas, about an hour north of
LA. Lots of room to rig, very wide ramp. The lake has fishing boats, but I
don't think they allow jet skis, and has plenty of space. Depending on your
route back to Oregon from LA, it may not be too far out of the way.

My father and I are going to be picking up our new P15 from
International Marine on Feb 2nd. Since I have plenty of vacation time
and the weather there is undoubtedly better than here in Oregon, I
was thinking about doing a bit of sailing while in the area.
In particular, I was planning on visiting a friend in San
Diego anyway, so that seemed like a good place to focus on.

So, I'd like to hear from Potterers in that area. How is the sailing
this time of year?? Where are some good areas?? Other suggestions??

++thanks,
trent...
