As far as tough, this is the same stuff that some kayaks are made of. One
of these was bitten by a great white in Half Moon Bay CA. The shark grabbed
the back end and spun the boat in a 360 before letting go (or before it
could pull it's teeth out). The kayaker was able to make shore because the
holes all but closed up keeping the boat afloat. I heard that he was
offered a new boat and $10,000 by the manufacturer.
