To All You Fabulous People:

As the author of the recent rambling rant, I'd like to say "thanks,"
again and again, to all who took the time to respond with your experience and
encouragement. In spite of the fact that I have been reading your exchanges
for several months, and was moderately aware of the communication explosion
the Web has provided, I have to say I was fairly flabbergasted at the
response my letter generated. I printed out the first 20 or so to share with
my wife, (Yeon), and we were both immensely gratified, pleased, tickled and
somewhat stunned that people we've never met, from all across the country,
would so cheerfully share their experience; or, from my point of view, tell
me in essence that I'M NOT REALLY CRAZY AFTER ALL!!!!
Several of you were kind enough to offer a look at your own mighty
vessels, and I intend to get in touch with you. For those that I don't, or
(geographically can't) look up, well, bless you for the offer. Your combined
camaraderie, coupled with my own inspired whining, may well serve to get me
(um...us) into a boat this year!

Our best wishes and thanks to all...especially the genius who moderates
this list--where would we be without you?!!!

We'll keep in touch. I'm sure that the weekend after our first sail, I will
be an expert and be telling you all haw to do everything the right way.

Enjoy, be well, and thanks again,
Brian
