P19 Owners:

Has anyone hung a larger motor off their P19? I have the idea of
buying a P19 for my Mom's house, and hanging my 9.9 off of it, to be used
mostly by my family for motoring when I'm not home. They would be quite
happy with just a motor boat, but I would like to be able to sail when I'm
visiting. I wonder how fast the P19 would go with a 9.9? I know it has a
slow hull speed and a lot of weight, but a 9.9 will overcome an amazing
amount of resistance, as I discovered by using it with a 16 foot daysailer
that I used to own. We used to have a lot of fun spending the day
alternately sailing, motoring, and pulling people along behind.

I suppose I'd have to beef up the motor bracket.

I've even thought of trying to somehow hang the 9.9 directly off the
transom of my P15, just for kicks. Ever seen a P15 in an all out plane?
