I have found only way to restrain keel is to stick foam in front and back so
it does not slide fwd or bkwds. Holding it up with cables is not good as it
lets keel slide fwd and bkwd slamming trunk. I have trailered with foam
stuck into dgrbrd about 6,000 miles. without damage to trunk.

I carry motor in back of van. to place on boat I remove from van place on
floor next to van and then drive boat transom next to motor. lift motor onto
bracket and launch. I do not carry heavy motor monster to transom.

hope this helps.
