A few years ago we were anchored at Mandeville Tip in the California Delta
to watch the annual fireworks display hosted by Barron Hilton. There were
about a thousand boats, and some had been there far several days. One of the
big highlights of this event is Moron Watching. The crew on one large cruiser
rigged up a high pressure firehose. Whenever a Jet Ski would get close they
would open fire and knock the rider off his craft. Then they would laugh like
hell and have another round of drinks. This went on for a few hours until
they got so drunk they opened fire on the Sheriff's boat knocking one of the
law officers in the drink.
