RE: Ugly outboards

I was told by the a gentleman that runs a 2 stroke shop to not use the
weedeater/chains saw two stroke oil in a outboard. His reasoning, which
appears good, is that the air-cooled two strokes run at a higher temperature
than the water-cooled outboards. Thus, the oil for them is designed to burn
at a higher temperature to provide lubrication. The air-cooled motor oil
would then accumulate in the cooler outboard engine and foul the plugs and
rings.
