Ken,

Over on the Trailer Sailor board, they were mentioning that Chlorine (in a
diluted form) really is NOT all that bad on sails,... I find that contrary to
just good sense. I would pick up some Marine grade soap (marine just equals
more money--it's really Palmolive with a different label) Regardless, don't try
anything else until you have thoroughly rinsed off all that other stuff. We'd
hate to have you concoct some potent chemical warfare in your "tubbie,"
affixiate yourself, and potentially pollute the Puget (say that 5 times fast)
;-)!!

Sail washing seems to be something they like to talk about alot on the TS
board. You might sail on over their and search their archives for more info.

Drat! My little yellow jib is having an attack of...i think mildew! Little
tiny grayish spots. Probably wasn't drying out enuf in the garage.

I suppose i ought to store the sails in the house where things aren't so
damp and cold.

BUT.....ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR GETTING RID OF THE MILDEW? The jibbie is
in the tubbie, soaking in hot water with white vinegar, baking soda and
dr. bronners soap (almond).

Any and all ideas are greatly appreciated. The sail is a Horizon 2000
series, probably from 1988 like the boat....Thanks!
