FWIW: The companion way on the Yamaha is constructed a little differently
from the Potter, it, the Yamaha does not have the angle at the base. But
this straight piece allows for a horizontal split wooden cover where the
middle cut is angled to keep water out. A slpit cover is easier to store
than our rather large covers. But I probably don't need to remind you of
all this...
