The Mariner (same as Mercury) 5HP 2 stroke, 20" shaft with F-N-R weighs 43.5
lbs. This model also has a slick fuel delivery system as you can use the
internal tank or a seperate external 1.5 GAL tank. I talked to some big
wheels at the Army Corp of Engineers and the US Park Service last week and
it's doubtful that 4-stroke engines will be banned anytime in the near
future (Yellowstone maybe an exception) If the truth were known, there's
more than a few people that would ban ALL boats powered by internal
combustion engines on Tahoe. When all personal watercraft, snowmobiles and
dirt bikes are powered by 4-stoke engines without exception, then the ban on
4-stroke OB's will become a reality. That day is still a few years out.
