Hello All:

I want to install a boom vang on my 1996 P-15. I need information
as follows:

1: Where to attach the eyes on the mast and boom?
                2: Should I use a 3 or 4 part purchase?
3: Will simple stainless steel straps be strong enough?

Water Rat came with cockpit rails but unfortunate they are not
installed. Is it possible to install them with out cutting putting in
inspection ports and if I must put in ports should they be on the sides or
seats of the boat. I am not sure if I can even reach the forward bolts from
the cabin so do I need four ports. I would prefer to not put in any
extra ports/holes. Can a normal person slither under the cockpit and reach
the bolts and then extricate themselves without assistance? Too bad my
children are grown.

If I must cut the holes, what's the appropriate method to do a
cosmetic installation and would 4 inch or 6 inch ports be better?

Smooth sailing,

Mike Westfield
