Put boat in water, no one in it, no load.
Get self in water with yellow grease pencil.
Go around boat, marking water line.
Take self and boat out of water.
Paint up to the grease pencil marks.

Suggest you use black ablative paint,
so juncture between it and blue is less
noticeable, and you can paint over the
old paint each year without scraping.

However, why not try a season with just
wax? Might work. Can't hurt.
