A 2hp will move boat only in a no wind no current situation.

I tried unsuccesfuly to move against a 12 mph wind with a 3.5 hp and had to
anchor my late P19 and get towed in. After many failures at moving against
strong wind I ditched it and went overboard to an 8 hp Nissan. That 8 hp
Nissan was smoothest outboard engine I have ever owned.

My experience with single cylinder engines of the 4 stroke persuassion is
that they shake more than the 2 cycle ones. A lot!
