IMHO, One big argument in favor of the 15 is ease of single handed sailing
(or two handed for that matter) off the trailer and into the water and back
again easily in limited time (I often leave the house at 2, am sailing
before 3 and home for supper by 6, but it's only a few miles to the launch
ramp). Setup is easy, everything is tiny, so nothing is intimidating for a
singlehander at all until the weather gets awful. The argument against is.
. .everything is tiny. . .the boat is basically the V-berth and cockpit from
a nice 20' weekender. . .minus the galley, the settees and most of the
storage. . .with the centerboard stuck in the middle of the V-berth yet!

The 19 is a BIG, comfortable, complicated, expensive boat by comparison!

Very best of luck, You'll love the Potters either way.

Subject: [WWP] New to the list

I believe I'm smitten - without ever having seen a Potter in the flesh.

Struggling to order my newly-retired life, so think it's about time I
started sailing again. Off and on, I've had various small boats (El Toro(s),
Y-Flyer), but no sailing activity in the last 10 years or so. I've gotten
all the mileage I can out of rebuilding my Morgan (car, not boat), and now
I'm ready to take the plunge. Started doing some research and just sort of
stumbled across the Potter. Now, after having read a fair amount about it, I
think I'm in love. Only question is: 15 or 19?

I've been monitoring your list for a bit. Sounds a lot like the Morgan
list - active and interesting.
