In the last year, I have heard no clearly superior
ideas or methods for dealing with this fundamental
problem.
I believe that some folks set it on the centerboard
trunk cover and face in or out the cabin door. This
has not been verified and seems a bit risky if the
seas are troubled...
One has suggested wearing a cape or "duster" while
taking care of the necessary in the cockpit. This
has not been met with great applause.
I will certainly share any methods that seem to have
broad applicability. As I am a big guy, anything that
works well for me will probably work for just about
anyone.
Now, about the shower facilities...
