[WWP] CROWDED BOOM

Hello All,

After my reefing experience last week ( it worked but it was NOT easy) I
decided to improve things. I installed two blocks, one for the outhaul and
one for the reefing line. I ran the lines on the starboard side of the
boom forward to the cleats, which I attached pretty close to where the
vang line attaches, so when I am single-handing and hove to to reef I
don't have to lean out over the side to do it!

Then, as long as i was doing all this, I decided to attach the shock cord
and hooks to use as sail ties A LA Harry Gordon. I put the shock cord on
the starboard and the hooks on port.

I also attached a line to the clew cringle to 'properly' rig the
loose-footed sail.

Hopefully this will facilitate stowing the sail and trimming/reefing the
foot of the sail. But....IT'S GOTTEN PRETTY CROWDED ON THE BOOM! Still
trying to figure out which lines go outside of which ones..... I guess
it's the price you pay for convenience!

happy sailing!
