San Leandro, July 17-18

San Leandro is a great place to sail, the launching is free. And overnight slips are also free! The ramp is very nice, and there is a nearby park and two restaurants. Our favorite is called Horatio's, it's a bit pricey but with all the money you save on launching and slips it's a deal. The food, service and decor are first rate. After launching, if you are going to spend the night, sail to the Harbor Masters office to get a slip for the night. There is a deposit on the key to restrooms and showers.

Maurice and Elana Liberman will be hosting a Potter yachter party aboard their Catalina 28 Dreamers Remedy Sat. night.

To get to the ramp take Marina Blvd West off the Nimitz Freeway (880) and just keep going until you get there. Launch time 9:AM Don't miss this one!

Commodore, Potter Yachters

[Note: Jerry is right, as usual -- San Leandro is a great place to sail. Last year Harry Gordon wrote some descriptive prose about the sail that is still relevant, and I wrote an article about the long weekend I made of it - Kent]
