Harry,
I've read some really hair-raising, down-right chilling
horror stories posted to the WWP group over the last few
years, but your tale is by far the scariest. What a dreadful
experience. Sends shivers up my spine it does. IMHO, you
are giving retirement a bad name and setting a really horrific
example for all those highly impressionable young sailors
on the Potter group.
Fortunately, not all of us jettisoned our core values
when taking early retirement and most of us, not wanting to
set a bad example, still have the personal fortitude to resist
any temptation to take time off from sailing to go back to
work...
Hopefully you recover your sanity soonest and make
a quick return to the ranks of beach bums and weekday
sailors. If you do, providing there is no relapse, we may even
forget about your youthful indiscretion in an hour or two...
