Dear Richard S. Karam,
In reference to the correct drill or hole size to thread in a #10 metal screw
according to the Machinery Handbook19th edition page 1233 for Self-Tapping type
screws, you would use .147" or a #26 drill if you find this too difficult in Alum.
consider using the stainless steel penetration reccommended size of .152" or a #24
drill (keep in mind your O.S.Dia. is .190±MFG. Tol.). Good luck.
