I think the usenet idea has been kicked around before. The nice
thing about the current setup is that almost anybody can get free
e-mail, with or without their own PC.
I really like usenet, and check a few newsgroups almost daily.
Not everybody has access to usenet, and it's one more software for
people to learn. There are a lot of people out there who just don't
want to learn a new way, for one reason or another. I wish everybody
who had a Potter were on this list, I think changing over to usenet
would exclude more people.
If you have a problem keeping personal e-mail separate from
potter-mail, it's easy to get another account (a free one), through
either juno (if you don't have web access), or through Hotmail (if you
have web access and don't want another dialing connection).
