Dear Solar:
I guess I can take the heat for the IM mast raising system since I designed
it. I hope I can get some credit too. This system was born after research and
economic practical concerns. If you would like to lower the fulcrum pole to
the base of the mast it wouldn't hurt and may help in ease of operation.
Another thru bolt near the base of the mast is all that would be required.
Justification for its position was to keep it simple by using the same through
bolt to secure the mini stays and pole. Since the block and tackle was added,
it works in my estimation like a charm. It's a single handed operation, safe
on or off the water.
