On our P-15 I only use 2 bronze jib hanks on my Genoa to make it easy for the jib
down haul to work. When I used 3, the jib down haul line would bind, the hanks I
have are small. Back when we raced our Wayfarer the first thing we did was remove
the hanks. I use real heavy dental floss to sew the hanks to the sail. Works like
a charm. :-)
