Hey Guys!
Well Erin and I finally got out the lake by ourselves, sorta, Erin brought
along a girlfriend. It ...was...so...great! No big problems, we just
sailed and sailed and sailed. We practiced man over board drills to get the
feel of the boat. He "hove to" (sp?) and had lunch. Then I felt so
comfortable I just took over and sailed her myself. No problem! We had
light winds, about 10 knots. Couldn't have been a better experience. We
made some of the power boaters angry because we had to raise the mast right
next to the launch ramp which made some things cramped for the launchers but
there was no other way. Big low handing trees all the way down the
driveway. If we had a Potter Yachter event there it would be a problem
because of this. You could only rig two boats at a time, or else do it
after you launched. Been there, done that, didn't like it.

The only thing that happened that I have to figure out is the turn buckles
on the shrouds kept coming loose. I have to "tune" the rigging this week.
Back out to the parking lot I guess. But now I know how to raise the mast
the mast raising system so I know I could get the mast up by myself and
tune the rigging. I think I'm supposed to tape them or something once
everything's tuned. Any ideas?

I remember reading on this board how to tune the shrouds but now I can't
find it. Can someone point me to it again. Sorry.
