Dear fellow Potterers,

As I get closer to finishing refitting my P-15, another question or two
have popped up.Advice will be greatly valued, as always.

(1) Where the mainsheet runs from the aft end of the boom down through a
block that attaches to the transom: about what should be the best placement
of that block? i.e., close the the transom, close to the boom or partway
between?

(2) I got a bimini from IM amd am trying to get it placed optimally(or
even just workably) on the siderails. It seems like a really tricky placement
for several reasons. The mainsheet could rub either fore or aft on it, if not
placed just so. It's also got to fold down and not block the motor or tiller,
as well as not block too much seating or the cabin door.

No directions came from IM, and when I called them after I bought it and
asked for directions, they never sent anything to help. This may be a
misimpression but sometimes they seem to have little working knowledge of
their products.

I hope someone has pioneered thru these dilemmas already to give advice.
There also may be a big problem, in that the sail size will determine how low
the boom will ride above the cockpit with the sail up, and mine seems to be
such that the boom will be touching the bimini top at rest. Perhaps this will
be different with the sail full of wind.

All experiences or ideas will be helpful. Once this gets worked out,
"Erin" will be good to go! TIA,
