Andrew;

I have a Sospender self inflating unit and it is quite comfortable. I
haven't had a chance to inflate it automatically yet, but it feels good
manually. See my experiment at

On Anchors; unless you expect to do some serious sailing I think you
should be guided by your feelings the first time you have to cut the
line due to a snagged anchor. But then you have to trade cost with
safety and other considerations (flame resistant disclaimer). I like
the good old galvanized ones at West Marine best -- the bigger the
better.
