I was thinking of a variation on the broom handle idea that attaches =
with pins at the tiller of both the rudder and engine mentioned =
yesterday. A device like a snake loop at each end that would consist of =
line or bungy cord that would cleat off at the same cleat maybe even =
modify the broom handle end with a crutch to keep it from shifting on =
the tiller (rudder). A turks head tied on the tiller might keep it from =
shifting. I'll draw a picture in MS Paint if you want a copy e-mail me =
