<< I use two pins in my dagger board to hold the weight during transport.
These create nice dents in the top of the dagger board trunk. Sometimes
the pins fall halfway out and gouge the fiberglass. How does everyone

The previous owner of my boat drilled two aluminum rails (1" x 2" x ~30")) and
now the dagger board is pinned with a rail on each side while traveling or
sitting on the trailer, this distributes the load all along the top of the
trunk.
