Dear Potterers:

A colleague of mine, whom I have convinced to start sailing and buy a
sailboat (a used Chrysler daysailor), asked me if I knew of any sailing
instructional websites that might be helpful to him and other novice
sailors. I told him the best one that I have found and one that I refer
back to from time to time (it's good for experienced sailors, too) is
the following:
www.sperrytopsider.com/sailingtip.html I'm not a Sperry employee nor
do I emplore others to buy their products or stock. The website is also
connected with SAIL magazine and many good, short articles can be found
there authored by SAIL magazine's writers and editors. Articles range
from safety tips to racing to depowering sails, and I thought some of
the newer WWPotter sailors might enjoy and learn much from the site,
too.

Good reading and fair winds,
