Subject: Help - Mount Motor on Trailer Tongue

Some time back a Potterer devised a rig to carry his motor on the trlr
tongue. I would appreciate pointers to the designer or other source.

Due to two new PCs being duds in the past two months I have lost almost
all my Potter files; to complicate matters I now have Powermac and am
slo-o-owly getting up on the step w/it(w/jests and some snide comments
from the Skipper who has her own operational PC).

We are getting a Yamaha 4x4(<50#) and are considering a move from the
transom while trailing. If that isn`t feasible I guess it will have to
go in the back of the van(I think the 'Skipper' can carry 50# w/o busting
a gut ={:-> I jest of course! she 'does`na do 'deck duty').

We won`t trail HA`PENNY till we come to a resolution of the problem, so
we are limited to the river or a half day motor to/from the Bay which
leaves little time for sailing. The current/tide are a bit more than we
expected.

IM sent a 22"x22" 3/16" aluminum plate to be mounted outside as a
reinforcement. We haven`t installed it as yet; with the plate/Honda 4x8/
and hvy duty mtr-mnt the total weight would be in excess of 100#
- guess I have no faith left in IM.

HA`PENNY is still for sale but if we can resolve the problem we may
reconsider; she is a fine micro cruiser.

Thanks for your help,

Grover & Doris SM/DA & SKIPPER/NAVIGATOR S/V HA`PENNY WWP-19 #965
