Good point. It does tend to bounce around more than I like. First thought
was to tie keepers from the boom end to the stern cleats, but they're only a
little further apart than the blocks of the main sheet. Need a beamier
boat. Actually, I found that trailing a sea anchor only gives minimal, if
any, added stability.

Guess I hit the send button too soon on my last note. Forgot to mention
that I have added a second cheek block to the top of the mast on the
opposite side. It's a heavy duty topping lift for sure, as the original
intent was to lift an adult (in a nylon strap harness) out of a wheel chair
on the dock and into the boat. The theory was sound but Center of Gravity
raised its ugly head and the plan was aborted just before we swamped the
boat. But it works fine as a shower rig. When not in use it shares the
vang's eye strap at the base of the mast.
