P-19 sailors--

>From one time to another there have been several threads on the potter
web about what size anchor to use on a P-19. Not having a P-19, I
would not presume to suggest an answer. If you already have an
anchor, however, and are looking for another one, you might consider
one of the Simpson-Lawrence one piece plow anchors. They are
Bruce-type anchors, but at a much lower price than they have been
selling for because the time period in which the anchor must carry the
Bruce name has expired.

One reason for having two anchors is to have two different kinds, to
suit different bottom conditions. Most people start out with fluke or
Danforth anchors--a plow will often hold in ground where a fluke
anchor will drag, and vice versa. West Marine currently has their
smallest non-Bruce plow (I don't know what else to call it!) on sale
for $39, I think.

My apologies to all, and particularly to Joshua, for not reading his
posting closely enough (or for not having my head turned on when I did
so) to notice that he does indeed have a P-15.
