Well, whattayaknow? We have another UK-built C Type "Glass Slipper" on this
side of the Pond!

Derek's "Frodo" has a nameplate on the transom showing it was manufactured
by West Wight Marine, the same as Steve Oliveira's "Mydaoff" #79.
According to the brochure Steve sent me, West Wight Marine made a C Type
"Potter" but called it a "Glass Slipper," not a "Potter." Steve's C Type
has a slipper sail emblem.

Derek, is there anything with your boat identifying it as a "Glass Slipper"
or a "Potter"? Do you know what number was on the original sail? Your
photos show that it is indeed a UK C Type gunter rig. I don't know if all C
Types built by West Wight Marine were called "Glass Slippers." I have only
Steve's brochure to go by.

For anyone who is interested, flyers for the C Type Potter and C Type Glass
Slipper are reproduced on the Potter Yachters page at
<http://songbird.com/py/oldbroch.htm>

Derek, I'll post your notice on the Potter Yachters web page.
