Ray, You have described the correct way to rig a mainsheet on a P.19. I use a
3/8 mainsheet because in high winds it is easier on my hands. For a while some
Potters went out of the factory with a single block on the boom. It was tied
off at the boom, then went down to the starboard pulley, then up through the
single boom pulley, down to the port pulley then to thr mainsheet cam cleat.
THIS IS WRONG!!!!!
If you have this set up, change it.You will sheet in on a starboard tack
and when you tack over to a port tack, your boom will be too far out. The boom
needs a double block, and your port pulley needs a becket for a starting
point.
