Doug-

I've never driven a large motorhome so can't say for sure. I have a very
small pop-up RV, a Toyota Chinook based on a Toyota pickup chassis. I tow
my Potter 15 with it and can launch and recover without difficulty if I
open the rear door of the RV so I can see the trailer. Personally, I
wouldn't want to launch behind a large motorhome, especially at a busy
ramp. I imagine you would need one or two trusted observers on the ground
to guide you.

Some with large tow vehicles have mounted a hitch on the front bumper, and
you might be able to launch without difficulty with that arrangement. There
is usually a parking lot near a launch ramp where you rig and derig your
boat and it would not be difficult to unhitch and move the boat to the
front hitch. Backing back up the ramp after launch or recovery would
require some care and guidance but might not be difficult and would
certainly be easier than backing the trailer.

My little rig with boat in tow is about as much as I would want to take on
the road, but I see many large RVs towing a car, and it should be no more
difficult to tow a boat, perhaps easier since the P19 and especially the
P15 are lighter than most cars. But if I should decide to get a P19 I will
need a larger tow vehicle than my Chinook. I would probably get a regular
truck or van and use the P19 as a camper.

I've forwarded your message to the Potter mail list so you should get some
more knowledgeable responses. Be sure to join the mail list if you haven't
already. It's a congenial group and your best source of Potter information.
There's information on my Potter Yachters web page on how to join the list.
There are also some photos showing the P19 interior I think.
