I'm ordering new sails for my P-19, and I am learning alot. One is that the
Potter sailplan isn't "normal" -- for example, a 115% usually has a luff of
about 85% of the forestay. If the P-19 forestay is the published length of
19' 7/8" (mine measures 18'10" !?!), then the usual luff length is 16'2". My
mast is only 21'6.5" from cabin to to sheve (not counting antenna, lights,
etc) , so to get a "hoist" of 19'3" my boom sits 6" lower than the newer
Potter I measured.

It's confusing -- I don't want to order sails that don't match the boat's
performance characteristics. I'm going to measure Jerry Barrileau's sails
tonight to give to the sailmaker for guidance.

Has anyone had a main and 110% jibsail custom made? How did they turn out?
Are you happy with them? What problems did you have?
