Oops! I goofed!

I=18'3"

The I measurement (height of foretriangle) on our boat is 18'3" (from sheeve
to deck level),

18' 10" is the actual measured length of our headstay that we need to replace.

YMMV* because Potters changed alot from year to year in the old days.
