Yes. Y2k doesn't work like a PC for GPS. The GPS systems work by analyzing a
stream of data sent to them by the satellites. The millenium turn-over for a
GPS occurs when the "week number" signal send by the satellites rolls above a
certain value. Then you have to turn off your GPS and re-acquire your
position from the satellites. that's all there is to it.

The GPS millenium occurred either just a few months ago or sometime soon. I
recall reading about it, but I don't remember the details. All the info I
read about it in the newsgroups and on web sites treated it like a non-event.

By the way, the GM100 was released in August of this year and is fully
compliant with all current GPS standards.
