The Richmond Yacht Club on SF Bay is hosting the second race of it's Small
Boat Mid-Winter Series on Sunday, January 3rd.
The skipper's meeting is at 10:30 am. Registration starts at 9am. From what
I've heard, there are two courses, one inside the breakwater (sheltered
sailing) and one for SBRA classes outside the breakwater. I believe Potters
will be handicapped according to Portsmouth ratings. The entrance fee is
reportedly $5.
The Yacht Club bar and restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner on
Thursday for comraderie after the race.
I believe Potters will have to launch at the public ramp nearby at the
Richmond Marina. I have been told by a friend that there is no launch ramp at
RYC, just a hoist.
The website for the Richmond Yacht Club is http://www.richmondyc.org/ but
there's not a lot of info on the race available there.
