Greetings All:

I purchased my P-19 sight unseen, virtually by mail order. My reasons for
purchasing the boat are varied and go something like this.

1. I received a quick response, and lots of information, from the
manufacturer to my initial inquiry.

2. Potter owners seem to love their boats as evidenced by the
testimonials on this web group.

3. I called some Potter owners, whose names I got through the Potter
Yachters newsletter, and received favourable comments and realistic
advice (particularly from Larry C.).

4. The boat appeared to meet the needs of novice sailors while still
offering the possibility of adventure far afield as skills and confidence
increased (I'm not talking bluewater sailing here!).

5. The weight of the boat did not require that I replace my 1985 4-Runner.

6. I liked the traditional look of the boat (from the photos).

7. The factory was willing to ship the boat to my pick-up point without
any hassle.

8. The price was not outrageous. Although my continuous purchasing of
extra gear seems to support the old hole in the water adage.

9. The boat is able to sleep four which is important to my four member
family.

I love my boat. Only 3.5 months till the boat goes in the water again.
