Paul and the Gang,

I originally became aware of the Potter in an article in Sail or
Cruising World about a dozen years ago. I wish for the life of me I had
kept that article, or could remember which magazine it was in. I was
still in middle school, and my older sister had take me sailing with her
college PE class. I was hooked on sailing, and knowing it would be many
years before I could buy a boat, I started reading everything I could
find on the subject. The article in the sailing magazine featured a
family (of four or five) spending a couple nights out on some western
lake (I'm thinking Tahoe here, but I am not sure). The pictures of the
boat tied to a cliff, with the clear blue sky and sunset in the
background got me dreaming.

I was already hooked on the Potter when I found this forum many years
later. I read ALL the archived messages, and surfed all the web pages.
It was these two things that got me looking at Potters again and then a
few more years before I serendipitously found my Potter. But that's
another story.
