Hi Tom,

I'd be more concerned about it pulling out or damaging the deck if you had to
be towed than I would about breaking the nylon. I haven't looked carefully at
the new P19 cleats, so I can't address the adequacy of how it's mounted.

I have a large one attached with four 1/4" or 3/8" bolts and huge fender
washers on Redwing. It's bedded twith polysulfide Life Caulk hrough a solid
epoxy fillet on the deck, with no exposed woodcore in the hole, in case I ever
need a tow back home in wind, chop and swells.
