Wise words, Geoff. But some of our beloved P14's and P15's are getting on in
years, and maintenance is rearing it's cute little head... has everybody seen
Harry Gordon's web article article on pulling his P14 keel after 32 years for
maintenance? Click here to visit

How about an epic journey by the PY P15 Fleet to visit an antique 135 foot
sailing vessel stuck in the mud of south San Francisco Bay? This past
weekend, Dave and Francesca Kautz, Harry Gordon, and Jon Hunolt sailed over 30
miles roundtrip to visit the Estela, a 135 wooden vessel stuck in the mud in
south San Francisco Bay. Along the way, they stopped to visit a partially
sunken destroyer as well.

You can see some wonderful pictures by Jon Hunolt and the GPS track at

I hope I DO run out of things to do -- at least for this winter! Sailing
season is fast approaching. By April, Redwing will have all new rigging,
sails, and her hull will have been faired, re-gelcoated where needed (beaching
a boat for 15 years can take its toll), compounded til she shines like new,
and her cabin interior will have been refinished. That's enough for one
season's work!
