If you have cockpit rails, an alternative method of handling the CDI genoa
sheet leads on a P-15 is to clamp a cam cleat directly the rail.

To do this you will need to purchase two Johnson Marine rail hose clamp
devices and two of the small Harken cam cleats that are mounted on a plate
with a fairlead. The rail devices are usually sold with some other device
like a bullseye or eye strap. You can just remove whatever is on there
originally. The holes for the cam cleat pivots coincidentally happen to be
the same distance apart as the holes on the rail hose clamp devices. The
plate is mounted on the rail so that the fairlead bullseye is on the outside.

You can move the rail devices for and aft on the rail, although I have not
really found that necessary in normal furling/reefing use when it is mounted
in the middle.

I use the original port side cam cleat to secure the furing line.

I was originally a little worried about the ability of the bullseye and cam
cleat to handle the various stresses. But after having this setup for a
year, it has worked well.
