Jim,

I Found the CDI unit from IM was pretty bulletproof.

What was nice was it was flexible...

a boon to the trailer-sailor who regularly unsteps/steps the mast.

It was also nice to leave the headsail on the unit rather than bag/unbag
the sail every use.

I've since moved onto a 70's Pearson 26 and the one thing I truly say I
miss is the Roller reefing.

It's much more of a project to drop the sail in a blow than to simply roll
it up.

I'm sure you'll hear favorable things about the unit from other Potter
sailors.

BTW you can order the CDI from other sources than IM...install is a snap.

Only the setup of the headsail needs modification.
