I'm sailing at Fern Ridge Reservoir outside of Eugene. maximum depth isj
15 feet, with a mud bottom with tree stumps mostly. winds can get up to
30mph i suppose; the reservoir is drained dry for flood control between
october and april, so sailing season is six months.Mostly the winds are
between 6-16mph.

Should I use a Danforth anchor? is a 4-pounder enough? heavier? What do
you think about mounting it on the bow pulpit, with the chain and line
coming out of the little vent hatch? I'd appreciate all input about an
anchor for my boat so we can drop anchor and have lunch.

Thanks!
