I use a 4 lb. West Marine (Danforth) on my P-19 and have never had it pull
out. Actually, in the San Francisco Bay the mud is about the consistency of
half set epoxy so it is a bit of a challenge to retrieve the hook when I am
ready to leave. Trick with the Danforths is to have a length of chain (I
have 12' of 1/4") attached between the anchor and the line.

For those that swear you need a larger anchor, I do carry a 12 lb. Danforth
if I am staying overnight, but only because the "scaredy cats" on this list
have made me a bit paranoid, not because the 4 pounder ever pulled out on
it's own.
