On the topic of Colorado Potterers:

I was sailing in the Oakland Estuary yesterday (with the crew from hell, but
that's another story) when I sensed we were about to be rammed by a Cal 20. I
called out "Starboard" to advise the approaching craft of our presence and my
presumption of our right-of-way. The response from the Cal 20 was "Hold your
fire!" and they pulled up alongside. The boat contained a young family with
at least one child (maybe more in the cabin?) The skipper asked if our boat
was a West Wight Potter (never said "cute") and what size it was. Once
identified, he told me that his brother in Colorado has one and loves it. It
only occurred to me after he sailed off that I should have asked who his
brother was since maybe he was someone I would know from the mailing list.
Soooo, are any of you Colorado types willing to own up to having a brother in
the SF Bay area with a nice looking family and a quick Cal 20?
