The U-1 is wrapped in a closed cell foam camping mat on the bottom and =
sides. The U-1 was the largest size battery that I could fit in the =
anchor well. Even though it is a tight fit with the foam, it is =
normally also secured with a rubber strap to the rear wall of the anchor =
well in the event of a turtle. The 3 inch nicro deck plate has been =
replaced with a 4 inch beckson screw in deck plate. The anchor chain =
and rode always stays above deck and the deck plate is always closed. A =
few loops of the anchor rode are hooked onto the foredeck cleat.
